Essay On Cricket- The game of cricket is one of the most played games in the world. This game is loved by everyone in India even the little kids who enjoy it. This game is full of joy, excitement and thrill at the same time.

Introduction

The game of cricket holds a special identity in the field of sports. It is one of the most popular sports in the world. This game is beyond the limitations of age, gender or nationality. The history of cricket began in the 16th century in England. The primary written evidence dates back to 1598.

Initially, this game was called the Gentleman’s Game. Every cricket match fulfils cricket lovers with great excitement. They find every ball full of thrill. Cricket matches are enjoyed on TV like a movie. Also, the stadiums get full on the dates of matches. Cricket is also my favourite sport.

How it is played

The cricket game is played on an oval-shaped ground. There is a 22-meter pitch in the middle of the ground. On that pitch, the cricketers play cricket. The game begins with a toss that determines which team will bat first. Following that, the batting team sends its batsmen one by one to score runs.

The bowling team has to stop them from getting a higher run target. Also, the bowling team attempts to take more wickets than another team.

The total runs scored by the first team are named the target for another team. The 2nd team has to score at least one more run than the 1wt team to win. The winner of the match is the team scoring higher among both.

Different forms of Cricket

As Cricket is of many types, it has a diverse fan base for each of those. Test Match is one form of cricket that is very traditional. Many people like seeing test matches because of their depth and authenticity. T-20 is another type of cricket that requires less time and is also highly entertaining.

Next, National League Systems also called counties in England. Duration for this form of cricket goes up to 3 to 4 days. Limited Overs Cricket is the next on the list which is based on the number of overs. One of the most basic forms is One Day International also called ODI.

Cricket Game in India

Cricket is the most-watched game in India and people even drop their classes and offices when any important cricket match is there. Cricket is like a prayer in India and the players are supposed to be cricket gods. It produces lots of excitement and craze amongst cricket lovers.

Although Hockey is the national sport of India, still cricket rules over the hearts of Indians. Cricket brings people together. It is one of the most discussed topics across the country. One can easily observe the craze about cricket on every street in India. Even a kid is aware of the playing rules of Cricket.

My Favourite Cricket Player ( Paragraph )

My favourite cricket player is Mahendra Singh Dhoni. I like him very much from the bottom of my heart. My entire room is decorated with photos and images of M.S. Dhoni. He is an inspiration to me. Even his jersey number 7 is now my favourite number.

His life journey is very motivational for me. There is a film named M. S. Dhoni. I have watched it more than twelve times.

There are many other cricket players in this sport but Dhoni has no match at all. He has been a superior cricketer and always will be. I want to see him in each of the cricket matches. May God bless him with good health, wealth, and fame.
