The supreme law of any nation is called the Constitution. It is an important factor in maintaining internal peace in a country. In this article, we will compose a speech on the importance of the Constitution.
Speech On The Importance of the Constitution
Good morning! All of you. Before heading ahead to my speech about the Constitution and its importance, I would like to wish you all the best wishes. I am glad to have this valuable opportunity.
Every human wants to live a happy and comfortable life. Fundamentally, it is their basic right. But there is a lot of chaos in this world which makes it difficult. To deal with this social issue, the Constitution was formed. Three countries India, Pakistan and Israel started writing the constitution for the first time.
The Indian constitution is the longest in the world, even today. It was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949. Mr B. R. Ambedkar is known as the father of the Indian Constitution. He helped draft this vital document of India.
The Constitution is a very important document for any nation. It describes the fundamental rights and duties of citizens. Also, it describes the political principles and boundaries. Moreover, it prevents authorities to misuse their rights.
As I am speaking in front of citizens. I would like to let you know about some basic rights of yours. It is a good thing if you are already aware of that. Still, I would like to present one more time to make you remember your fundamental rights.
So, our constitution declares India as a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic and aims to secure justice, liberty, and equality for all citizens and promote fraternity to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation.
In simple words, It ensures us the freedom of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; the equality of status and opportunity; justice on social, economic and political levels; and fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the nation.
The most important feature of the Constitution is its flexibility. It allows the constitution to make a change in the rules, regulations and punishments pertaining to a specific situation. Nevertheless, it is not an easy task. It goes through various phases before any amendment.
As I conclude, it is a rigid set of laws, which ensures the piece of a common man. Today, we live in an information age which makes it very easy to understand our fundamental rights and duties. We must thank Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Bhimrao Ambedkar for this tremendous contribution.
