1 Minute Speech On How To Save Water

Greetings to everyone gathered here. I (your name) cordially welcome all of you & want to pay you thanks for having me a chance to speak on how to save water.

The amount of usable water is only 0.3 % of the whole. The remaining amount is salinated or out of reach. Our primary source of water is groundwater & it is being used unmetered causing dropped levels of groundwater. In future, this can lead to water scarcity. Therefore, there is a need to conserve water.

Here below are given some easy methods to contribute to water conservation.

  1. Take short showers or use buckets.
  2. Using a bathtub will save a lot of water
  3. Keep the water tap off while brushing your teeth.
  4. Regularly check water leakages and fix them.
  5. Use a watering pot to water the plants
  6. Train kids and children not to waste water
  7. Schools must give assignments to draw a poster on saving water

Thank you for listening to my speech. I hope you liked & understood it.

Water is an irreplaceable natural resource. No other option is available. It is considered that the biggest reason behind the earth supports life. But we just waste it without understanding its significance.

Hello and welcome to all the people present here. Before I start my speech on water conservation, I would like to wish you the best wishes. Also, I want to thank you for having me this valuable opportunity.

The earth has an abundance of water, but sadly, only a miniature percentage (about 0.3 %), is suitable for humans. The other 99.7 % is in the oceans, icecaps, and soils, and captured in the environment. Still, enough of the 0.3 per cent is out of reach.

Our primary source of water is groundwater & it is being used unmetered causing dropped levels of groundwater. In future, this can lead to water scarcity. Therefore, there is a need to conserve water. Below are some suggested ways to save water to escape the scarcity of water in future.

  1. While brushing your teeth, keep the tap off!
  2. Prefer using a bathtub or having a shorter shower
  3. Use a watering pot to water the plants

Each one knows the condition of water-deprived nations like Africa, where residents are living a distressed life. It is time for everybody to awaken and understand the importance of conserving water.

A Look At What Causes Water Scarcity

The first reason is too much waste of freshwater and careless use of water. Another reason is contamination from industries that discharge untreated water into rivers and lakes. And the 3rd reason is the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers that pollute freshwater.

Moreover, sewage water is also drained into rivers that contaminate water. If we talk about natural reasons for the shortage of freshwater is global warming. With the increasing temperature of the planet, the groundwater level is depleting.
