Good Morning to all the people present here. Special regards to the principal, teachers & friends. I am here today to deliver a speech on Shivaji Maharaj. Let me start this speech by thanking you all for honouring me with this valuable opportunity.
Shivaji was born on the 19th of February, 1630 to Shahaji Bhonsale and Jijabai in Shivneri Fort in Maharashtra. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a ray of hope for the people whose lives were ruined by the Mughal Empire. His Journey as a warrior took off at the very young age of 16.
He was the founder of the Maratha Empire. He began to attack the enemies surrounding his kingdom and he kept expanding his Maratha Empire by capturing one fort after another. Slowly, he managed to expand his kingdom across Western and Central India. He was the one who challenged and defeated the mighty Mughal Empire.
