Good morning and welcome to all the people present here. I am here to present a speech on world environment day. Before starting my speech I want to thank you all for your precious presence.
World Environment Day came into existence in the year 1973 by the United Nations Environment Programme. The day is observed on the 5th of June every year to spread awareness about environmental protection and conservation. But Why?
Because environment conditions are degrading rapidly day by day and the main reason behind this, is human activities. This day people take leave from their work and take part in many campaigns. Apart from this, children and adults plant saplings and take a pledge not to harm the environment. To tackle a problem, awareness is the best tool. So, taking part in it is our duty.
